Use of public checkout
Beacon Event Management provides event checkout, donation, receipt, and payment-record services for organizations that use the platform. By completing a public checkout, you authorize the listed payment amount, including any optional processing-fee coverage you selected, and you agree that the transaction is associated with the named event or donation campaign.
The organization hosting the event or receiving the donation is responsible for its event, campaign, fulfillment, admissions decisions, charitable acknowledgements, event-specific restrictions, and refund decisions. Beacon provides the checkout and recordkeeping platform.
Accuracy of checkout information
You are responsible for providing accurate purchaser, attendee, billing, and contact information. The organization may use the information you provide to fulfill registrations, send receipts, resolve support requests, and respond to payment disputes or fraud reviews.
Eligibility and event rules
You agree to follow any event-specific rules shown before checkout or communicated by the organization. Certain purchases, such as raffle entries, alcohol-related benefits, age-restricted activities, or chance-based fundraising items, may be limited by location, age, eligibility, or other legal requirements.
Payment processing
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Beacon does not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes. Stripe may perform fraud checks, billing-address verification, card authentication, and other payment-processing steps required by card networks or applicable law.
A one-time public checkout authorizes only the payment shown at checkout. It does not authorize future charges unless the checkout page or a separate written agreement clearly says otherwise.
Refunds, cancellations, and event policies
Purchases are subject to the Refund and Cancellation Policy and any event-specific policy shown before checkout. If an event-specific policy conflicts with the default Beacon policy, the more specific event policy controls unless applicable law requires a different result.
Receipts and records
Beacon and the organization may send transaction receipts, event communications, and support messages related to your purchase. Payment records, order details, and support communications may be retained for accounting, tax, dispute, audit, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Donation receipts and acknowledgements are provided for recordkeeping only and are not tax advice. Consult a tax professional about deductibility, fair-market value, and substantiation requirements.
Limitations
Beacon is not responsible for venue changes, event program changes, third-party service interruptions, bank processing delays, or card issuer decisions. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Questions and charge recognition
Contact payment support if you do not recognize a charge or need help before filing a card dispute. Beacon or the organization may use your checkout details, Stripe payment records, and support communications to identify the transaction and respond to payment inquiries.
Payment support
For payment, refund, or cancellation questions, email [email protected] or visit payment support.
